Tell us a little bit about Bank Al Habib.
Bank Al Habib Ltd is a commercial bank established and operating in Pakistan. The Bank has 854 branches at the moment, and it is the 6th largest bank in the Country. The Bank is owned by Habib Family. Dawood Habib Group, the sponsor of Bank AL Habib Limited has a long track record in banking that dates back to the 1920s. The Group played a major role in meeting the financial needs of Pakistan making it the first institution to provide banking services to the new Country. As of 2020, the foreign trade share of Bank Al Habib in Pakistan's total foreign trade is around 13,65% and the Bank also gives services to its customers in the Islamic Banking field. Bank Al Habib has overseas branches in Malaysia, Bahrain, and Seychelles and has representative offices in Turkey, China, UAE, and Kenya.
Since 2011 the Bank has a Representative Office in Istanbul and trying to encourage the relationship and business between Turkey and Pakistan by having good contacts and discussions with Turkish companies and banks. In our Representative Office, we are two people, Ms. Yasemin Toy and Mr. Khurram Durrani.
What is unique about your business?
We are a small team with a blend of professional banking/commerce experiences/expertise facilitating Turkish and European Banks / Corporates in Pakistani, Malaysian, and Bahraini markets.
If Bank Al Habib could achieve just one goal in the next 12 months, what would it be?
Reduce Cost.
How long have you been a Servcorp client, and what has impressed you the most about our service?
Since 2011, we are with Servcorp and apart from many facilitations we admire their flexibility to prevailing dynamics.
What has been the biggest benefit you’ve experienced as a result of working with Servcorp?

What advice would you give to the next generation of leaders?
Develop yourself to become an employer instead of becoming an employee.
What is an accomplishment that you are most proud of?
Working to live instead of living to work only.
How do you balance work and life responsibilities?
Teamwork results in efficiency and the saved time is a bonus for the family.
What have you sacrificed (both personally and professionally) during your career?
Once you have a family then sacrifices are the opportunity cost that buys you future relaxed and pleasurable retirement.
What is one way that operating business today is the same as 15 years ago, and one way it’s different?
Prejudice and Nepotism are the same whereas technology is at contestant changed.
If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Perpetuity is better than any short-term achievement. Focus on long-term goals, dedicate your time and efforts, don't exhaust yourself, and wait patiently for results.
